I did have the pleasure of taking the Flying Mantis for a spin for an entire morning, the no expense spared was definitely noticed. I found it extremely forgiving, especially through the gybes, she just keep on foiling.. along with the straight line speed and wind range it’s an awesome piece of equipment!

Won’t lie I was a little nervous going out in the 20 knots+ Pelar, however after five minutes the nerves were all gone and it could have been 15 knots and flat water from the way the boat handled.

The other thing that really stood out, and especially as someone who comes from a training centre side of foiling, where I spend more time coaching than doing, was the stability of the foils. 85%+ of the people that come through us are experiencing foiling for the first time and boat choice can have a huge impact on their success. The trimaran build of the Mantis allows you to get windward heel without needing any real balance, something that a lot of people tend to struggle with on their first time, meaning it could mean quicker success and a much faster learning curve for all involved. This along with the ease of gybing at the higher end could potentially make it the ideal product..
